Efficacy and safety of antiscabietic agents: A systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

•Network meta-analysis indicated that permethrin+oral ivermectin combination, topical ivermectin, and synergized pyrethrins had the strongest evidence for highest cure, lowest persistent itching, and lowest adverse events, respectively. There is no one treatment that ranked highest in all aspects. Physicians should consider an easy-to-use treatment with balance between efficacy and safety.
