HEMATOLOGICAL PROFILES IN DISCARDED BULLS

Present study was aimed to record haematological profiles in discarded bulls which were sending to the slaughter house after response to the treatment. Most of the bulls in the study were suffered with different digestive disturbances including recurrent bloat, impaction and constipation. Observed signs in these animals were varied from the individual bull, but commonly all the animals showed anorexia, depression, ruminal impaction followed by loss of body weight. Haematological profiles revealed decreased hemoglobin, total erythrocyte count, packed cell volume. Total leukocyte count was found to be significantly higher in association with eosinophilia and neutrophilia. Study assessed that discarded bulls sending to the slaughter house had the variation in the haematology profiles which had the role on health status of the bulls.
