MRI-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy: experience of a single tertiary referral cancer centre and prospects for the futureAbstract MRI-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (VABB) is used for suspicious breast cancer (BC) lesions which are detectable only with MRI: because the high sensitivity but limited specificity of breast MRI it is a fundamental tool in breast imaging divisions. We analyse our experience of MRI-guided VABB and critically discuss the potentialities of diffusion-weighted imaging...

Endoscopic Management of a Proximally Migrated Fully Covered SEMS Using the Stent-in-Stent Technique
Endoscopic Management of a Proximally Migrated Fully Covered SEMS Using the Stent-in-Stent Technique: Endoscopic biliary decompression via stent placement is an important approach for the palliative management of distal malignant biliary obstruction. However, migration of the inserted stent can occur, either distally or proximally; proximal migration is less common, but it also presents a greater challenge for endoscopic resolution. We present a case of a 67-year-old woman who had locally advanced...

Imaging Features of Mucopolysaccharidoses in The Head and Neck............Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) involvement by mucopolysaccharidoses is very common, affecting over 90% of patients, and occurs early in the course of the disease. Airway narrowing secondary to glycosaminoglycan deposition results in greatly increased morbidity, mortality and risk of anesthetic complications in these patients. Macroglossia, restricted mouth opening, tracheobronchomalacia, adenotonsillar hypertrophy along with other factors such as a short, rigid and unstable cervical spine, cardiac disease and increased susceptibility to respiratory infections result in a high perioperative mortality and morbidity. Imaging is most beneficial for evaluation of the airway, in particular in patients with obstructive symptoms and prior to intubation. We review the ENT manifestations of mucopolysaccharidoses including airway involvement, otological, oral and dental complications. 3-D reconstructions of the trachea, which is routinely captured on CT imaging of the spine, can be of great value for planning intubation in this patient population. Resistance to First-Line Osimertinib in EGFR-mutant NSCLC: Tissue is the Issue
Resistance to First-Line Osimertinib in EGFR-mutant NSCLC: Tissue is the Issue: Matched pre-/post-treatment tissue biopsies from EGFR-mutant NSCLC patients demonstrate that histologic transformations, including both SCLC and squamous transformation, are unexpectedly common among patients progressing on first-line osimertinib. The study highlights the key role of tissue testing and underscores the need for innovative therapeutic approaches to prevent, rather than treat, resistance.

Our evolving understanding of the pathogenesis and presentations of chronic rhinosinusitis
Our evolving understanding of the pathogenesis and presentations of chronic rhinosinusitis: Until recently, chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) was viewed as a chronic infectious disease of the sinuses caused by anaerobic bacteria. This dogma led to the concept that, as with any abscess in a closed space, the primary modalities of treatment should be surgical drainage and antibiotics. Not surprisingly, few patients responded favorably. Recent years have seen a revolution in our thinking, with the recognition...

Identification of novel biomarkers, MUC5AC , MUC1 , KRT7 , GAPDH , CD44 for gastric cancer
Identification of novel biomarkers, MUC5AC , MUC1 , KRT7 , GAPDH , CD44 for gastric cancer: AbstractGastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world, and it is also the third largest cause of cancer-related death in the world. As far as we know, no biomarker has been widely accepted for early diagnosis and prognosis prediction of gastric cancer. The purpose of this study is to find potential biomarkers to predict the prognosis of GC. The gene expression profiles of GSE2685...
