Risk of bias does not differ between full papers and letters reporting dermatological randomised controlled trials

Results of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) are often reported in letters rather than published within full papers. Trial results that are published as letters are often missed from bibliographic searches, especially if the term "randomized controlled trial" is not included in the title of the letter. Such RCT letters generally require "hand searching" in order to identify them.¹
