Ruthenium catalyzed keto directed siteselective C-H activation of diversified chromanones with alkenes

A simple and versatile approach towards the synthesis of highly functionalized C5-alkenylated chromanones in good yields with a regio and stereoselective fashion has been disclosed for the first time. This reaction takes place through chelation aided oxidative coupling of keto directed siteselective C-H activation using chromanones with alkenes in presence of ruthenium catalyst under mild conditions.
