The Front Cover shows the beneficial effects of added quinuclidine and DABCO, among other bases, on the radiochemical yields of 5-substituted [18F]2-fluoropyridines from the rapid reactions of short-lived cyclotron-produced [18F]fluoride ions (t1/2 = 109.8 min) with 5-substituted 2-halopyridines. These effects can be exploited to facilitate the development of new 18F-labeled tracers for biomedical imaging with positron emission tomography. More information can be found in the Full Paper by V. W. Pike et al.
