Anti‐PD1 in Merkel cell carcinoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, description of 5 cases and recent data from the literature

Abstract

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) are tumors of the elderly due to UV exposure with increasing incidence. These highly mutated tumors are more likely to express immunogenic tumor neo‐antigens. In this context, the use of an anti‐PD1 (Programmed cell Death protein 1) is an interesting option. We report 5 patients treated with nivolumab (3mg/kg every 2 weeks).
