In article number 1605928, Gang Liu and co-workers from Xiamen University develop a new generation of phototheranostic agents using a tumor-environment-triggered co-assembly strategy. MnO₂ nanosheets serve as a highly effective photosensitizer carrier and in situ oxygen and nanotheranostic generator, with promising properties for trimodal MR-/fluorescence-/photoacoustic-imaging-guided phototherapy.
